Garys Fishing Tails

Meet the BlackBass

Largemouth bass (Micropterus),commonly known in the angling world as bucketmouth, big mouth,or black bass, are found throughout the nation's contiguous 48 states and have been intruduced into Hawaiian island waters.Strickly a freshwater fish,it is one of the most popular game fish across America. They prefer warm waters(65 degrees or warmer) but can survive cold water in ice-covere lakes and rivers as their bodies become lethargic and their appetites disminish when the temperature drops below 50 degree.
